SHOCKWAVE THERAPY

Shockwave Therapy (SWT), also called Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT), is a non-invasive treatment at North Shore Shockwave Therapy. It uses sound waves to heal damaged tissues and bones. This therapy was first used to treat kidney stones. Now, it helps with conditions like plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendonitis, tennis elbow, and shoulder pain.

At North Shore Shockwave Therapy, we use handheld devices to send sound waves to the problem area. These waves create pressure pulses that boost blood flow and speed up healing. Most treatments need a few sessions. We adjust the intensity and frequency of the waves to match your needs and pain levels.

North Vancouver shockwave therapy is generally safe with few side effects. You might feel some discomfort during the treatment, and mild soreness or bruising afterward. However, this therapy isn’t for everyone. That’s why you should talk to Dr. Jabeen Jussa, your North Vancouver Chiropractor, before starting. Dr. Jussa will check your condition and medical history to see if this treatment is right for you.
